[ MONOTONOISE ] are a new duo formed by Delavie and Urz. Both of us have a vast work history in different areas of production. Delavie for more than 10 years composed and produced music with an ensemble of Nu Jazz: Doctor Jazz’s Universal Remedy. Which had been distributed worldwide and various songs were inserted in more than 200 compilation. Urz principaly worked on remixes for various artists and lables. In May 2018 we started producing Techno Music using an unconventional live recording system.[ MONOTONOISE ] "Foundation's Edge" EP "Foundations Edge" is the first territorial test where the duo attempt a different form of production from its previous experiences, all the tracks selected by I-Robots for this release are the results of a series of very long live studio recordings, where nothing had been previously thought of but played in full freedom from styles, purposes and conventions. The EP contains 6 tracks all with the name of a person to whom the song was dedicated, this to emphasize that each artistic work was influenced by interpersonal relationships and various inspirations and not only by the production capacity of the artists. Six tracks without a predefined style but a common matrix made of improvisation, musical culture and a love for electronic music. Six tracks that tell six different stories united by the recognizable style of [MONOTONOISE ].
