slovak flugelhorn and trumpet player, composer, big band leader and producer. Lukas studied many years in the jazz and classical departments of five different academies (Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Slovakia). He is studying for a Doctoral degree at the moment. Lukas is winner of two classical competitions of Conservatories (2005, 2007), five times awarded for best slovak jazz album (Esprit Award 2013, 2016, 2022 and Radio_Head Award 2021,2022). Lukas worked with big bands, such as RAMA Big Band – Denmark under the leadership of Jens Christian Jensena, Geir Lysne or Ian McDougall. He is member of Czech Radio Gustav Brom Big Band and Big Band of Matus Jakabcic. In 2019 Lukas founded his own jazz orchestra. He worked with members of jazz scene, such as Miroslav Vitous, Peter Erskine, Aaron Goldberg, Bob Mintzer, Danny Grissett, Vincent Herring, Rick Margitza, Wayne Escoffery, Pavel Wlosok, Andy Schofield, Benito Gonzalez, Essiet Okon Essiet, Piotr Wylezol, Kalman Oláh, Gábor Bolla, Tony Lakatos, Moravian Philharmonic, Slovak Sinfonietta, and many others. As leader Lukas recorded 5 albums of Quintet, one album with Quintet and Philharmonic Orchestra and 3 Big Band albums.
