Biography

Pick Up Goliath smashes genres and redefines boundaries. A classically trained musician and composer, he’s obsessed with pushing limits—mixing styles, breaking walls, and creating sounds that hit hard and stay fresh. His latest release, Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy, is a metal masterpiece described as “a spectacular album that brings together the legends and icons of contemporary metal to establish itself as one of the most innovative and influential proposals in the genre” (Bad Wolf Records). Featuring collaborations with Howard Jones (Light The Torch), Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), Scott LePage (Polyphia) and more, this record cements Pick Up Goliath as a force in modern metal. From the stage to the studio, he’s done it all, cutting his teeth as a touring musician with Armstrong, sharing the stage with legends like You Me At Six and The Pigeon Detectives. Now, as the mastermind behind Mammoth Sound Studio in Spain, he produces an eclectic range of music, from crushing metal to cutting-edge electronic, collaborating globally with names like Duran Duran guitarist Dom Brown. Before all that, he taught songwriting and production at The BRIT School, shaping the careers of now-superstars like RAYE, Rex Orange County, Olivia Dean, Cat Burns, and Lola Young. He’s also the author of Become a Competent Music Producer in 365 Days, teaching the next generation of producers to make waves, and host of music industry podcast Inside the Songs. Ready for a sonic ride? Buckle up.
