Originally from Colima, México, Marianina is a multidisciplinary artist, being a singer, songwriter, actress and activist. Her latest EP Suavecita y Peligrosa, released on October 2024 is an unpredictable fusion of latin rythms, pop and hip hop, where she lays out an empowered take on the nuances of the human complexity. Corazón De Perra (2021), her first studio album, a folky Latin pop fusion produced by Juan Pablo Aispuro and recorded live at El Desierto, was well reviewed. Her musical style goes from cumbia to dubstep, passing through hiphop and more unique fusions that make her an unpredictable artist. Her lyrics are provocative, tender and then aggressive, powerful, human in the end… She transmits this on her social networks, videos on Tiktok and her constant activism, in which she shows different layers of her artistry, the romantic, the socially conscious, the playful… always with a proposal, always with her voice raised and her best weapon: a straight smile and a good song under the sleeve. Her live performances are pure energy, from festivals to urban street shows, she has played at Festival Manzanillo Live (2017), Colima’s International Jazz Festival, and a tour in Italy and Belgium, playing in Florence, Rome, Venice, Brussels, etc. Currently, she performs in the urban and latin indie scene in Los Angeles, California in venues like The York, Los Globos, etc., conquering the audiences with her unavoidable presence.
