Classico Latino was born in 1998 following a chance encounter between Colombian pianist Ivan Guevara and English cellist Graham Walker. Ever since, the group has developed its uniquely powerful blend of Classical finesse and Latino flair, releasing six studio albums and entertaining audiences from Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London to the foothills of the Colombian Andes. Their newest album, Salsa Classics, is a homage to the legendary salsa king Fruko, and was recorded with Fruko himself on bass. The album is due for release November 17 2023. The album features Omar Puente and of course the founder and bandleader of Fruko Y Sus Tesos, Fruko.
