Overview : Huckleberryfinn, who represents the music scene of the Korean band, has been enriching the Korean band scene since its debut with its first album, "Wednesday the 18th," in 1998. Huckleberryfinn's music, which has neutral vocals and expresses dreamlike musical colors, offers a wide range of sounds from alternative rock, folk, electro, and ambient music. It consists of three members: Lee Ki-yong, Lee So-young, and Sung Jang-gyu. History : Their first and third albums "Wednesday the 18th" and "The Star of Olampio" were listed on the top 100 Korean pop music charts, respectively, and their fourth album "Illusion... My Disillusion" won the 5th K-pop Awards' Best Modern Rock Album. Their sixth full-length album, "Aurora People," was nominated for three categories, including the 16th K-pop Music Awards' Album of the Year in 2019. Released in 2022, their seventh album, "The Light Of Rain," was a big hit, featuring a wide spectrum of music that captured the lyricism of Huckleberryfinn but also added an urban sound and a contemporary feel. "The Light Of Rain" was nominated for the 20th K-pop Awards' Best Modern Rock Album in 2023, and "Tempest" for the Best Modern Rock Song. Recent activities :In 2023, 'The Riff (Live Clip)' was released, capturing a consistent flow and identity of the band's music. Additionally, the short music documentary 'The Riff', directed by vocalist Lee So-young, showcased various stories of the band members that hadn't been included in the album.
