Coven is an alternative band that started in San Diego, CA. Fronted by Sophia Gawle with co-writer Kaitlyn Miguel, the two brought on Alisha Foster on drums, Zach Lawrence on guitar, and Jackson Rainey on bass. Coven’s music brings elements of shoegaze, folk-inspired melodies, and goth aesthetics. The band’s songwriting pulls from nostalgia, the dehumanizing disassociation of love, the turbulence of change, and the navigation of life cycles. Coven is known for full, drony instrumentals and emotional, theatrical performances.
