RubbaBanStunna is a southern hiphop artist from the north side of Houston, Texas. He is the youngest child of five, and has always had a love for music. At age ten, he began writing poetry which later on turn into him becoming an artist. In the early stages of his career, he ran into many obstacles which forced him to learn how to record himself. Although the sound quality wasn't the best, he recorded and released a new song every Saturday at 1:11pm. This series of freestyles was called "Stunna Saturdays", during the years 2014-2015. ​ After mastering the art of freestyling , he began working with Houston's producer P. Crisco to develop his own original sound. This was a very frustrating time for both P. Crisco and RubbaBanStunna. Together, they produced many songs together and came up with several mixtape ideas, but the concepts never stood out to either of them. So they held on to their music for almost two years. Then finally RubbaBanStunna came up with an idea and a nine song tracklist for a mixtape named "Past Due". P. Crisco loved the concept and the tracklist of song, so they reached out to another producer in the city of Houston by the name of Bruce Bang to get their music professionally mixed and mastered for a quality sound. While in the studio, RubbaBanStunna made a call to DJ Mr. Rogers to ask if he would host his mixtape. Rogers agreed, and Past Due was released to the world on all streaming platforms on August 7, 2017. ​<br>
