Biography

Donald Peck is one of America's greatest orchestral flutists. He joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1960 and served under four legendary music directors, Fritz Reiner, Jean Martinon, Sir Georg Solti, and Daniel Barenboim. His earlier orchestra credits were as a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony, Seattle Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, D.C., United States Marine Band, and Kansas City Philharmonic. Peck is now principal flute emeritus of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the flute faculty of DePaul University.
