How did this unknown rapper get cosigned by Nas? Well, it started with ridiculous passion for the artform. I fell in love with Hip Hop when I was in elementary school looking up to the greats and memorizing every line of their lyrics. It wasn’t long before I wrote my first rhyme. (witch I wrote while serving detention at Athens High School) In no time, I went from rapping on the table in the cafeteria to competing in freestyle battles all over Michigan. I decided to enter my song into the biggest song writing contest in the world "The John Lennon Songwriting Contest." Eventually I got a call telling me that I was in the top 10. This is where the story gets crazy. They revealed that I would be going head-to-head with the other 9 finalist and that the judges would be Nas, Busta Rhymes, Q Tip of A Tribe Called Quest, Canibus & Whclef Jean of the Fugees. About a week later I got the call. The voice on the other end of the phone said congratulations you have come in 1st place! At the time this was easily the best day of my life!
