Kevin Fingier is an Argentinian producer, composer, musician and one of the most eclectic and exciting Soul artists in the UK scene. He runs Acid Jazz Records subsidiary label Fingier Records, which specializes in his Soul, Funk, R&B and Boogaloo productions. In a Soul/R&B scene where people mostly love 1950’s and 1960’s music, his retro but modern productions have been more than well received, having support for the most important DJs in the heart of the Soul world, and having his tracks played at the BBC by DJs such as Craig Charles, Gilles Peterson, Huey Morgan and Richard Searling, one of the most important Northern Soul DJs from the legendary Wigan Casino, who also said: “Anything you see from this label with Kevin Fingier via the UK-based Acid Jazz Group comes highly recommended from myself’". This support he had led his records to constantly sold out, being his 7” “Why Don’t you go home / Cocktail De Medianoche” the best selling 45 in Acid Jazz Records in the last 20 years, after Andy Smith and Paul Weller’s hit “Are you trying to be lonely?”, and other records like “Latin Dynamite / El Basement” to be sold for 150 pounds in Discogs and Ebay. His career as a musician has started with the Early Reggae band he founded, Los Aggrotones. He has produced many Jamaican legends such as Pat Kelly, Derrick Harriott and The Cimarons, who have been the Trojan Records studio band in the past.
