Braneliss is a Canadian rapper who began making amateur tracks in high school alongside frequent collaborator ILogicc. He quickly found a passion for lyricism and provocative music and continued creating an eclectic demo catalogue. He finally switched to a studio-produced approach in 2022 to record his first two singles and most of the songs featured on the 2023 EP entitled ET. During Spring 2023, he and ILogicc found themselves back at Full Frequency Recording Studio to complete the recording of "The Joint Project", an album the pair had conceptualized years prior during their initial entry into music. Due to the looming closure of the studio, the album's writing and recording were on a tight schedule and needed to be finished before the studio closed its doors. The Joint Project finally received a public release on October 23rd, 2023 on the 6th anniversary of the first Braneliss X ILogicc release. After the release of the joint project, Braneliss returned to recording songs in his apartment, recording and producing the single "Hot Ones" Braneliss has worked alongside many other rappers in the Nova Scotia underground rap scene, including ILogicc, 9OH2 Doeboy, Yung Kelly, Yung Roy, Mackie, and E-Bran. Notable sources of inspiration for his music are Eminem, JID, Tyler The Creator, Ye, MF DOOM, Watsky, Dr. Dre, Token, bbno$, Earl Sweatshirt, Ski Mask The Slump God, Pink Guy, Lil Darkie, Mac Miller and Kendrick Lamar.
