Shirley H. was born in Peru, but raised in Chicago since the 90's, a time in which her personal style was influenced by the rich diversity in music ranging from girl/boy bands pop to soulful power ballads, catchy House beats and smooth R&B tunes, infused with Gospel, Latin and the contemporary worship anthems she grew up with. All of which can be found in her music. Richer than that still is the heart behind the music, the stories represented, the experiences reflected, the lives touched. She began releasing her original compositions first as the lead vocalist for Altar in 2004 in a self-titled debut album and a sophomore production titled "Sin Ti" in 2010. In 2013 she debuted her first single as Shirley H. with the pop/rock anthem "GO" and since then has continued writing and producing music along with her producer husband. She released “Agua Viva” in 2019 seeking to encourage many to pursue their purpose and live in the fullness of today. In August 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, they moved to Nashville, TN following God’s call, where they are embarking on new projects and linking up with other artists who share their vision to create and thrive together.
