Roko Djokovic, born in 1980 in the plains of Vojvodina, former Yugoslavia, is a multi-talented musician who has made a name for himself in the music industry. Over the past two decades, he has lived and worked in New York City, where he has become a professional guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, electronic music producer, and independent owner of a record label based in Tulum, Mexico. During his time in New York City, Roko earned an audio engineering degree from City College of New York, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in music composition from Hunter College. He studied classical guitar performance under the tutelage of Tali Roth of Julliard, and music composition under Shafer Mahoney, also of Julliard. Roko's classical pieces have been performed by virtuoso guitarists around the world, including the students of the Julliard School of Music. Roko's innovative approach to music is a fusion of Balkan traditional folk with the elements of electronic and classical music. He has developed this unique sound over the years, through numerous performances, workshops, concerts, and festivals. His music has been featured in various music projects, including independent films, theater and dance performances. Now residing in Tulum, Mexico, Roko is the owner and chief-engineer of the Studio Tulum project.
