Bheki Shabalala also known as “Just Bheki” was born and raised in Durban (Kwa Mashu). He has 4 siblings and is the second last born in the family. He was raised by his maternal grand mother while his mother worked in Johannesburg and would visit during December holidays. His grandmother was very musical and loved singing that's where his love for Music, entertaining and performing from a young age began. He grew up in a musical household from a tender age specifically from his grandmother. Through his dance crew, Supreme Crew, they began a joint business venture with “Gigi LaMayne” where they performed everywhere together. Oblivious to his talent, he went to a friends studio playing around not knowing much about music. He then formed a group "Eminent Fam" to embark on a musical journey together. They created a song called “ Retweet” and had their first professional video. In 2016 the group had an amazing opportunity to record the hit song called “MOTO” with L-Tido. Soon after in 2017 the group released a body of work (EP) And released a single called (Inyathuko) which did great and caught a lot of media attention. Later on in 2019 “Just Bheki”with his first group Eminent Fam created a song with Gigi LaMayne (Koze Kube Nini). The Group had an amicable separation and went their separate ways, which then sparked his solo career in 2019. Just Bheki, as he is known amongst his peers, started embarking on a solo career in 2019.
