Biography

Signed to RCA after his ability to sing, write, and play both guitar and drums was put on display through the Gene Simmons-starring U.K. television program Rock School, Christopher James Hardman -- who went by Lil' Chris -- released his debut single, "Checkin' It Out," in 2006. It reached number three in his native country. A self-titled album was issued just before the end of the year. Lil' Chris remained a television personality with appearances on Celebrity Scissorhands and The Weakest Link, as well as Everybody Loves Lil' Chris, which began airing on Saturday mornings in October 2008 and helped promote his second album, What's It All About? Hardman died by suicide on March 23, 2015, at the age of 24. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
