Tezeta are an instrumental 8 piece band led by composer, pianist and producer Daniel Inzani (Spindle Ensemble). They comprise of in demand musicians from Bristol’s independent experimental, jazz and alternate scene who also play with Spindle Ensemble, Run Logan Run, The Evil Usses, Yama Warashi, Dubi Dolczek, Alabaster dePlume, Leonie Evans, The Brackish, This Is The Kit, Rozi Plain, Cloudshoes, Yola, Count Bobo and The Paraorchestra. Peter Gibbs - bass Andrew Neil Hayes - tenor saxophone Daniel Inzani – Fender rhodes Matthew Jones - drums Lorenzo Prati - tenor saxophone Harriet Riley - tuned percussion Conrad Singh - electric guitar Daniel Truen - drums Tezeta’s sound combines influences of Ethiopian jazz, fusion and prog. These influences are incorporated into Daniel Inzani’s cinematic compositions which are then performed and recorded live with large elements of improvisation. Their first album ‘Seventh Place’ was released in 2016. Their follow up EP 'Curious Bubble' was released in June 2020. To celebrate the release of Curious Bubble, Tezeta performed a socially distanced live set and interview as part of a new TV show: ‘AIDU present: Live at Jam Jar’, which was organised by Shambala Festival.
