In 2010, Mr. Loco of Steady Mobbin & Penn St8 of Kinsmoke / The Federation joined forces to form the dynamic duo from the Northside of the SF Bay Area known as Badd Blood. They hit the scene with appearances on mixtapes & their debut album, "Thicka Den U Thought". 2012 saw the release of their second album, "7'z Up," featuring Doonie & Goldie Gold of The Federation, Mac Reese, Kastro of 2Pac's Outlawz & others. In 2014, Badd Blood inked a deal with Long Beach-based label Dogg Habit Records, connected to the legendary Dogg Pound family. They dropped mixtapes but never released any official albums during this period. Next came a deal with Havikk The Rhime Son of South Central Cartel & his label 1Hood Ent. They contributed to the 1Hood Compilation, performed across California & recorded "Tha Badd Blood Kartel" before parting ways with the label in 2016. Going independent, they released #KeepPennSt8Free independently. The album served as a testament to their unwavering bond, released while Penn St8 was facing legal issues. Mr. Loco, dedicated to keeping Penn St8's name alive, released "Free Penn St8" in 2019 & "Free Penn St8 Vol. 2" in 2020. Upon Penn St8's release, the duo reunited to drop the single "Ain't No Fun '22" & released their long-awaited album, "Tha Badd Blood Kartel." Badd Blood's journey encapsulates the essence of West Coast rap, marked by resilience, loyalty, and a commitment to authentic storytelling.
