Formed in 1990 as "DublinMix", Dbmix was a music project created by Colm Caffrey & John Carnell, the two created 9 demo tracks in hopes of a record deal, eventually calling it a day as John & Colm lived in different countries. Colm went off to produce backing tracks and John became the manager of charting dance group Sunscreem and founded "Phoenix Music International". After a 14 year hiatus, DublinMix came back after Colm's son, Jack Lucas Caffrey was looking to make music for Super Teddy: the Video Game (Official Soundtrack), the two created the songs You're a Super Star and the Theme of "Action John". During this time, Colm renamed the band Dbmix. Jack Lucas Caffrey then fully took over the band in 2018. Under the Dbmix name, he's worked on the soundtracks for Bad Boyz (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and The Game Show (Original Television Soundtrack) and done collaborations with Shay Healy, Kylabelle, Omar Naber & Phily Campbell. The Dbmix band will reappear in the future. In the meantime, Jack Lucas Caffrey however is producing and performing new music under his own name
