Dizkar is a Chinese R&B singer-songwriter, producer, beatmaker and DJ. Born and raised in Kunming, Yunnan, Dizkar developed his interest in Hiphop, Jazz, Funk and R&B from an early age. The 15-yo Dizkar first emerged as a beatmaker in the local hiphop scene, and continued to expand his repertoire to include singer-songwriter and DJ. After several independent beat tape releases on internet, Dizkar signed with Mintone Records in 2018. During the same year, he released his beat selection Ride On Whisky, which included 2 songs featuring his vocals, marking Dizkar’s debut as a R&B singer-songwriter. Dizkar described Ride On Whisky as “you watch the golden waves on sunset sea, and you take a sip of very strong whisky”. Ride On Whisky was nominated for Best Hiphop Album at 2018 Abilu Awards, and appeared on many Albums of Year lists by critics, such as Xiami and Mastermind. Dizkar's multifacetedness coalesced into his debut album, Search For Nothing, a futuristic Express to the 90s R&B.
