Biography

If you personally know Money Makin’ Nique it’s likely you’d describe him as somewhat of a walking juxtaposition. From his famous sexually charged Cover Art to his oftentimes deeper than usual rap references, Nique is a rare talent in that literally everything he does and says, causes you to take notice, and consequently, interest. Given a chance encounter, one can quickly notice his rugged demeanor paired with the undertone of a pretty boy, that stands out to be somewhat of a mindfuck. Perhaps it’s that both characteristics of his personality tend to bleed through whatever he says and does, leaving one to wonder what kind of life renders a man to come off so complex. The complexity rings truest with songs like “10 Days” “Mr. D4L” or “Wheelman,” where Nique concisely spits darts about the ills of street life as well as the spoils of it. It’s hustler’s music if you could imagine an avid hunter who only does so with a platinum spear. Born in the North, but raised in Southwest Atlanta, Nique drew obvious early influences from both traditional East coast rap (B.I.G, Styles P) as well as Southern trap (Clipse, T.I, Young Dro). Known for his Avant Garde approach to Street Rap, Nique introspectively blends that of a debauchery filled lifestyle with mafioso themes that chronicle the daily life of a bandit determined to attain a life of affluence.
