Gabriele Mvsa, born Gabriele Rosciglione, is an Italian rapper and songwriter. Born into a musical family, he listened to r&b and hip-hop as a child and studied to play the piano. At fourteen he begins to write songs and takes the name of Kaligola, crippling the name of the Roman emperor Caligula. The love for the history of his city, Rome, is so strong that he dedicates a song "Ego sum Kaligola" to it, depopulating on the web and receiving the attention of all the media, also for the unusual use of Latin phrases in the within its texts. In 2015, at the age of 17, he took part in the most important Italian music festival, the Sanremo Festival and won the Sergio Bardotti Award for the best text of the edition. After this experience he continues to study and develop a more mature musical style, mainly linked to indie-pop sounds, re-proposing himself on the music scene in 2020, with the single Anime di Carta and with the name "Gabriele Mvsa". Currently he is working on a new r&b hiphop project that will see the collaboration of important artists.
