Biography

Nicole is a Zimbabwean born singer-songwriter currently based in Botswana. Her passion for music dates back to her early childhood when she was introduced to classical blues and African jazz classics by her grandfather who was a music promoter in Harare. At the age of 3, she was already singing along to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones, Earl Grant and the late Hugh Masekela who she had the honor of sharing a stage with before he passed. Her music journey began as a backup singer and a featured artist, she was featured on Australian based rapper, Sampa The Great’s “Black Girl Magik” which was J Award nominated. Nicole strongly believes in collaboration and has worked with producers and artists from across Africa. On her debut single “Reminder” she worked with Zambian trap-soul producer AmoBeatz and Malawi native Flex The Ninja to interpret her empowering, enchanting and soulful style. “ I believe that music has so much power and I just want to make music that inspires and uplifts people.” - Nicole
