Isle of You filter the sounds of '80s dance-pop through their breezy, 21st century electro-pop. A duo consisting of two childhood friends from Sweden, they had a series of streaming successes beginning with 2016's "50 + 1" before releasing their first album, Party Until We're in Love, in 2019. Färjestaden natives Elina Danielsson and Ida Johansson began making music together as ten-year-olds, playing live in town whenever they could over the next several years. Still in their teens, they were invited to record a demo at RamPac Recordings in Stockholm in 2014. The production team there decided to work with them; Isle of You's first single, "50 + 1," followed in 2016 on Capitol in Sweden, where it became a viral hit. The following year, Sia featured their single "Bodyguard" on a popular play list maintained under her name. "Bodyguard" and 2018's "Skintight" were among the five previously released singles on the duo's ten-track debut album, Party Until We're in Love, issued by RamPac Recordings in mid-2019. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
