ilia Osokin is a composer multi-instrumentalist, working between Marseille and Berlin. After a first career as a cellist in Russia and the United States, and diplomas in music theory and conducting in France, he turned fully to composition. He seeks to express with the greatest creative freedom, his eclectic universe, whether this is explored in his works with classical and hybrid instruments or with modular synthesizers. His curiosity pushes him to go beyond the borders of different musical systems. Since the year 2020, he has been developing an innovative form of musical writing. He works towards a transformation of the composition process by developing non-linear music inspired by the organic world. Apart from this research, he also works in the field of "cinemusic", where history is shown through sound. His own style of musical composition takes us on a journey where Electro, Neoclassical and Ambient styles intersect together. He also composes for performances for visual artists, advertising videos, choreographic pieces and graphic novels. In the summer of 2021, the Monaco Opera hosted his musical creation of a ballet choreographed by Mimoza Koike for Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. In February 2022 an original "1984" soundtrack for a comic strip by Xavier Coste was published by Cristal Publishing and released on the BOriginal label. Thus marking the beginning of his collaborations with the designer and the sound books. www.iliaosokin.com
