Born in TORONTO, CANADA Ever since the young age of six Beatdown has shown a natural interest in music. As he grew up so did his curiosity , which he fed by exploring the drums and later on the family piano. He has a music background that stems from his genes - his parents. Early memories include the sound of his dad playing gospel on the bass or his moms choir singing on Sundays. His parents helped him cultivate the importance of music in his life. Because of them religion was also an early on influence on his work. As the times changed so did the music and Beatdown showed an appreciation of all kinds while exploring the different genres, this process helped him discover which direction he was going to take. A influencers and producers that inspire him include: DMX Mobb Deep, Dblock, Dipset Timberland, Scott Storch & Zaytoveen. When it comes to his own style the key to his production is really the basics: live instruments & sounds. Those 2 factors are a sure way of knowing it’s by Beatdown Music production. While he is known to fall in the genre of hiphop & rap, he has never been afraid to take his chance and dabble in others such as dance hall and pop music. His strong belief that music is simply an act of expression and respect to all genres makes him a producer with a promising future.
