Lunga ‘ILOVEMADONNA’ Maseko [born September 2nd 2004] attempts to break away from the trivialities of music in Eswatini. Having been one [for 5 years] to ensconce and find a safe haven in creating music in the comfort of his bedroom, not letting it live beyond his shut door. He admits that he has overlooked the treasures hidden in sharing his artwork and attributes the shift, in part, to “…I feel too attached to my music to let it go,” he claims. After his debut single ‘Instant’ premiered [14/02/2023] on YouTube, he now instead chooses to focus on what matters most – advocating for the expression of emotion in its purest form. For ILOVEMADONNA, music represents an all-encompassing surrender, a pledge to self-honesty. Often tranquil and habitually sullen in his vocal style, the Swazi singer-songwriter delves deeper into themes of romance, confusion, anger and ambition with his first and latest official single ‘Instant’.
