As an American with Irish and Scottish heritage, Olivia grew up with a love for Celtic music and culture. A competitive Irish dancer for 11+ years, she also plays the bodhran (Irish drum) and competed as a champion singer at the 2015 All Ireland competition in Sligo, Ireland (Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann) as the only American qualifier in Irish sean-nós singing. Her various experiences as a competitor and performer gave her the opportunity to meet and learn from a whole host of talented trad singers and musicians, whose direct and indirect influences are reflected in her music, including Ashley Davis, Dave Curley, Cathy Jordan, Seamus Begley, John Doyle, Colin Farrell, Cormac De Barra, and Joanie Madden, just to name a few. In addition to her traditional roots, Olivia is a classically trained singer with an extensive background in musical theater and opera. She also interned with Lisa Kelly, founding member of Celtic Woman, and has performed with Sarah Brightman, Emmet Cahill, and with John Maschinot as a member of the Celtic Company and Ah Surely. Since 2021, Olivia has been a lead vocalist with the Celtic Angels, performing across the US on their various tours, including the main Spring and Christmas national productions.
