Grammy nominated, platinum selling pianist, composer, and producer David Lanz is one of the most popular artists in the new age instrumental and classical crossover genres. His early 80s recordings were primarily solo piano, ı. e. Heartsounds, Nightfall, but his 1988's, Cristofori's Dream - Remastered release, featuring a cover of a A Whiter Shade of Pale, with guest artist and original Procol Harum organist, Matthew Fisher, became Billboard Magazines first #1 New Age album hit and established Lanz at the top of his field. This was followed up with numerous top 10 charting records on the Narada, Decca, and Shanachie labels. Lanz and guitarist Paul Speer had great mid 80's chart successes with their two collaborations, Natural States and Desert Vision, and included the first new age hit single, Behind The Waterfall. In 2000, Lanz received a Grammy Nomination for Best New Age album, East Of The Moon, produced by the legendary Hugh Padgham (Sting, Phil Collins, Police, Hall and Oats). Today finds David releasing solo piano recordings and classical crossover collaborations with his award-winning wife, composer, and recording artist, Kristin Amarie. Valentine Hill, his latest solo piano album released in 2024 and the large-scale production album AYRES, with Kristin Amarie was released in NOVEMBER 2024. A new Solo Piano album and a Greatest Hits release is planned for 2025.
