I’ve spent 9 years working with Paul Simon. My first album with him was “So Beautiful or So What” where I played bass, guitar, and drums. That album was produced by Phil Ramone, and working with Phil was a real joy. In total I did 5 albums with Paul. (3 studio, 2 live). My first solo record is with Jim Keltner playing drums. That was an amazing experience. I’ve tried to keep a balance between being a side man, but also trying to release solo material. I’m trying to let my ear and soul be my guide, and just chase what I love. Sometimes it’s hard to allow your self to love what it loves.
