DateMonthYear based around songwriter/percussionist Trevor Faville. The initial release was called Sampler which established a dramatic, dynamic Indie sound with a strong cinematic complement. This followed and evolved through subsequent releases ‘7Ghosts’ ,TheGreatDateMonth YearGuitarRemixExperiment' and ‘Pot/kettle/Black’ .Of the back of this, DMY music found itself licensed around the world- the A&E Network and the documentary Channel in the US, and MTV South America- among many others- as well as being placed in New Zealand's most ‘Expensive TV programme’, Filthy Rich. DateMonthYear’s fifth album, expansively titled ‘DateMonthYear’ ,featuring the longest serving live line up of Emma Koretz(Vocals), Brooke Baker ( Guitar/Keys/Vocals), Hayley Schwass(bass) and Tyler Leet(Guitar). Next came ’The Exodus Suite’, a series of five Soundscape/Soundtrack/ Musique Concrete pieces. Three of those pieces are available for streaming here, four of the pieces have been given to local directors and turned into short videos which are able to be viewed on our YouTube channel. DateMonthYear's current venture is the Season of Collaboration, which is series of tracks in conjunction with our friends in New Zealand and around the world.
