HiSQ is a Finnish collective of creative individuals. Songwriter Erkki Vuokila gathered together all the people he needed to give his music the right form. In September 2021 the dream came through and HiSQ published five songs with five different singers. In September 2022 ”Flesh and Blood” started the series "Hi Status Qualified". It's a piano ballad with impressive vocals from ex Nightwish member Marko Hietala. The 7th single was made with an American powerhouse vocalist Jessie Galante. "Gimmee Gimmee Gimmee Some More" was also a tribute to Wilko Johnson and it has gained lots of praise for the energy it spreads to the listeners. To the 8th single HiSQ got a real legend, composer-conductor Norman Bergen and his wife Terri. The rockin' country duet is called "I'll Never Let You Go". HiSQ also published a version of Norman's classic "Muisto vain jää / Only a Fool Breaks His Own Heart". The community was shaken when Terri died suddenly. We mourn her so much. April the 26th means the end of one phase in the existence of HiSQ. "The Story So Far" with Minna Ora's powerful vocals is an 80's influenced rock ballad. It's easy to see that the music and lyrics of HiSQ have no boundaries. They can be of any genre as long as the whole gang is satisfied. Dear listeners, hope you are too!
