Brandon Dejuan Townsend aka “Pookie F’n Rude” was born on November 23rd, 1988 at Dominguez Valley Hospital. Pookie grew up in Compton & attended Daisy Day Care & Dickerson Elementary School. By 2nd grade he moved to Long Beach, California, bounced around to multiple different schools but ended up finishing High School at Paramount High School & Long Beach Jordan. After High School Pookie moved to the IE (Inland Empire) & started gaining more connections. Around this time Pookie was also very active in multiple dance crews led by Tommy The Clown. He came up with the brilliant idea to use AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) to promote his parties. After seeing some success, police started to get called out to parties. At that moment he realized it was time to take things up a notch. Around 2012 Pookie met N3 On The Track of LA On Lock & brought him on as a promoter. Together they joined forces to promote artists like Spiffie Luciano, Mr. White Dogg, TeeFLii, 03 Greedo & more! After promoting for so many different artists & freestyling with the best of them, he wanted to hop in the recording booth himself. On December 15, 2017, Pookie released his first musical album entitled “I’m Not A Rapper Tho, Vol. 1”. After receiving great feedback, he kept recording new music! Fast forward to 2023, he released his viral hit single “Put That On Everythang” featuring Hash Hearted. The song has accumulated over a million streams on digital platforms, 6,000+ shazams & more!
