Actor John Hurt tells the beloved Arabian Knights tale of Aladdin & the Magic Lamp for Rabbit Ears' 1994 multi-medium children's release with musical accompaniment by Mickey Hart. The title is available as either an audiobook (spoken word), a hardback book illustrated by Greg Couch, along with an audio cassette and as a VHS video. Hurt, who studied at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, has acted in every movie genre from comedy of Mel Brooks' Spaceballs (1987) to his acting tour de force in A Man for All Seasons (1966) to the poignant The Elephant Man, a role that garnered Hurt a 1980 Best Actor Oscar nomination and won him a 1980 British Academy Award.
