A Lifetime Member of the Corporation of Yaddo, he has received two awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Friedheim Prize, Guggenheim Fellowship, two Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Residencies, and the Barlow Endowment, Bearns, and ASCAP-Nissim Prizes.
