Frivolous Jackson has been an avid contributor to the dance music community as both a DJ, producer, and label owner since 2005. He started producing under the alias The Sound Republic. The Sound Republic era resulted in over 40 vinyl releases across some of the best labels in House Music such as Guesthouse, Jackin Tracks, Drop, and Control. During that time, the renowned Spatula City Records was formed which became the home of The Sound Republic and the erratic house sound that they had pioneered. In 2009 Frivolous Jackson parted ways from The Sound Republic to pursue his solo career under the name Frankie J. It was then that Flapjack Records was founded. Being the driving force behind the famed Spatula City Records and sister label Flapjack Records, he continued through the next decade to refine his signature style of underground house music while staying true to his roots in bass music. Fast forward to 2019, the Frivolous Jackson project was born with a focus on traversing the world of tech and bass house. Current works include FJ's most recent release "Underground", on House of Hustle's Bang for Free series featured on Country Club Disco Community Vol. 1 compilation, and "Full Circle EP" which dropped Jan. 31st on Perfect Driver. Look for upcoming releases in 2020 on labels such as OFDM, We Jack, and many more that are in the works.
