Biography

Les is a Sagittarius that loves Hip Hop, Comics, and Brunch! More below: Since his first album out in 2003, Toronto DJ, Producer & Rap veteran More Or Les has released multiple projects to critical acclaim, has years of international live appearances under his belt, and features with notable peeps including Blueprint, Chip-Fu, and UK Hip Hop band The Herbaliser. Les is a member of the Canadian Rap collective Backburner, working frequently with Rap luminaries Ghettosocks, Wordburglar, Swamp Thing, Jesse Dangerously, Fresh Kils and more. His latest full-length Rap release is an ode to nerdom appropriately titled "Nerd Love," featuring a who's who of Nerdcore Hip Hop, including Mega-Ran, Mikal kHill, Dual Core, LEX the Lexicon Artist and Wordburglar. On this magnum opus of geekiness, Les spits vicious about Klingons, Comics, Doctor Who and a variety of other fan-obsessive topics! Les has also released several beat tapes, with the latest a 2019 release called "HeartLes", a morphing of love songs into sad, aggressive, sorrowful bangers! On the DJ tip, Les is also the DJ/co-host of the Toronto Hip Hop showcase 5 Dollar Rap Show with fellow nerdy rapper Wordburglar, has a DJ residency at several bars in the T-Dot core, and is co-host/DJ of the media-attention-grabbing Hip Hop Karaoke. "More Or Les...balances his love of classic boom bap with a touch of more modern and nerdier styles...that bumps and sounds great with the volume turned up." - Chi Chi, Scratchedvinyl.com (2018)
