Roland Satterwhite is an American Violinist/Violist and Singer living in Berlin. As a violinist, Roland has toured internationally and performeed with musicians as diverse as Albita, Marta Gomez, Jorge Pardo, Marta Topferova, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Django Lassi, Moka Efti Orchestra and others. Currently Roland is recording his second Jazz Violin album. As a Violist and singer, Roland leads a trio, Tolyqyn, which performs regularly around Europe. He also performs his original songs solo. Roland has developed his own way of plucking the viola that is unique, and writes lyrics covering subjects from political upheaval, to love, to animals. Aside from composing and performing, Roland is an arranger, producer, teacher, recording engineer, and makes music videos.
