Cold Colors makes electronic music somewhere between coldwave and new wave. The mood is grey-scaled, and the synths are angular. If the styles of coldwave and new wave are present as influences in Frédérick Barbe's work as Cold Colors, they are in no way pronounced or overstated. His music shows what ‘minimal melodic synth’ should be: perfect bass sequences, clear drum stems and these catchy Cold Colors pads. Across the years, Cold Colors has released several EP's and mini-albums with record labels like Lux Rec, Oraculo Records, Femur Records, Nocta Numerica, to name a few. January 2024: 'Vanishing Dreams' has been released on Waste Editions, six tracks mini-album. Now working on his first album.
