KdotDub (Rafael “Dee” Mateo) was born on the Northside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was first inspired by his grandfather Ramon Torres who was a musician in a salsa band. At the age of twelve he started to make beats on the program REASONS. Growing up, Kdub also took inspiration from the likes of Eminem, 50 cent, Kanye West, and his closest inspiration his brother Louie Z (Louie Zamora). Kdub started to rap ultimately collaborating with Louie Z forming the group “Killwaukee”. At the age of 13 he transitioned to the program FL Studio where he honed his craft and began to produce, mix, master and promote music for Killwaukee and countless others in the Milwaukee area. Although Killwaukee became well known in the Milwaukee area, Kdub decided to focus on family and take a break from music for a period of time. Louie Z would continue with music garnering more success and popularity in the surrounding areas. In the next few years Kdub would lose his mother, aunt, and shortly after, his brother Louie Z. BURY MY SINS is an album telling the story of Pain, Hurt, Life and Love. KdotDub has returned to his native art and has pronounced his story through his music.
