Xtreme was formed in 2003 by Danny-D, Steve Styles joined in February of 2004. Xtreme thrived between their two cultures, exploring US pop & staying true to their Dominican roots. In 2006, Xtreme was awarded Best New Group at Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. “Te Extraño” was nominated to Tropical Airplay Song Of The Year, New Artist at the Billboard Awards. In 2007, “Haciendo Historia”, was nominated for a Latin Billboard award as Tropical Album of the Year. It featured 13 original songs, including, Billboard-topping singles “Shorty, Shorty”, & “No Me Digas Que No” ft Adrienne Ballon of the Cheetah Girls. In 2008, the next album “Chapter Dos” was released with charting single “Through That Window”. In 2009, they retooled & released “Chapter Dos: On The Verge” with charting singles “Lloro Y Lloro” & “Baby Baby”. They were also featured in a MUN2 reality series “On The Verge” which followed the day-to-day lives of the multiplatinum duo Xtreme. The series captured Danny-D & Steve Styles as they navigate the bumpy road to success in the music industry while juggling their real lives in the Bronx. The series is the highest-rated series in MUN2’s history. Xtreme Toured until 2011, when they decided to pursue music independently. They have won BMI awards & Certified Platinum Records on RIAA. According to many Bachata Dance Instructors throughout the world, “Te Extraño” became a Bachata Phenomenon as it is used as one of the first songs to teach new students how to dance Bachata.
