Luxry was born out New Orleans, La. He’s always been into music, whether it was singing, dancing or imitating his favorite groups. He’s always found comfort in music. It wasn’t until after 2005 that he would actually start writing his own music. Ironically that would be the time Hurricane Katrina swept through the south. The two projects that shaped his music foundation was So Far Gone by Drake and Tha Carter III by Lil Wayne. These two projects help shape the way Luxry would view and construct his music. “I feel like they personify what it actually means to be an artist and rapper. They are the definition of being a successful artist. These albums are beautifully constructed top to bottom no skips” - Luxry. He defines his music as being specifically for the night time. Very versatile artist ranging from R&B to POP while staying authentic to his Hip Hop roots. “I’m very honest in my music. I done seen a lot of things that I’ve always kept to myself. Music helps me sort out my inner thoughts and feelings that I don’t wanna share because I’ll be judged. In music there’s not much room to judge it can disguised as creativity. My music is for that everyday average person that everyone overlooks or think is too quiet when really they’re always deep in thought about The World and everything in it” -Luxry
