Lianna “Oly” Hauoli Sylvan, an American musician, is from a musical, multi-cultural Hispanic, Asian-Pacific Islander, Caribbean family. Her most notable work is as a dance music artist. She djs, plays many instruments, sings and composes. She first gained media attention performing with her sister, ANORA, on Oprah Winfrey's Most Talented Kids Show with Taylor Swift. In 2016, she met producer Rain Man from Krewella and made the dance song, Bring Back the Summer (feat. OLY), which reached number 5 on the Billboard Dance/Mix play chart and was supported by top djs like Tiësto and Steve Aoki. They later formed a duo called Xaia. Her music has appeared on MTV'ss Siesta Key, AppleTV's Bad Monkey, All In Podcast with Chamath Palihapitiya, 3LAU's top-selling NFT album with Close, fine art by Sabet, Eloh, Cody Seekins and Kledia Spiro, and collaborations with acclaimed performers like Val Kilmer, George Lopez, GrimesAI and Stick Figure. She has released music on music labels Armada, Spinnin’ Records, NCS, Lowly, Trap Nation, Dim Mak and more. She is co-founder of the music label, Catahoula Records. Her recent credits include developing highly immersive, virtual music and social events with Somnium Space VR metaverse. Her experience as a trauma survivor inspired her to create The Sound Mind music and meditation project designed using techniques supported by over 20 research studies.
