Belladonna is a rock noir band founded by Italian songwriters Luana Caraffa and Dani Macchi. Their 1st album Metaphysical Attraction enters the 2008 Grammy Awards ballot and turns them into one of the most listened-to bands on MySpace. After several tours in Europe, they fly to the USA to record their 2nd album The Noir Album with Tool producer Sylvia Massy. They play SXSW and shows with Nine Inch Nails, Korn, Staind, and even Dita Von Teese. In 2009 they record with legendary UK film composer Michael Nyman Let There Be Light (feat. Michael Nyman), a one-off single with Nyman himself on the piano. The 3rd album And There Was Light is recorded in the USA with Metallica's "Black Album" engineer Mike Tacci, and is hailed by Italian indie-rock bible Rumore as "a masterpiece". After more tours all over Europe they release their 4th album Shooting Dice With God, and the single "The God Below" which in 2015 is licensed in the international TV spot for the Hollywood movie "Minions". In 2016 they release The Orchestral Album, a collection of 10 of their songs recorded with a concert orchestra. Their 6th album No Star Is Ever Too Far comes out in 2019. Its track Black Beauty is included by Michael Moore in his "Fahrenheit 11/9". In recent years Belladonna tracks have been licensed in the trailers of many Hollywood movies, including "Godless", "Split", "My Cousin Rachel", Stephen King's "The Dark Tower", "Black Panther", "The Northman", "Peaky Blinders".
