Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1978, he was the youngest of three boys. One of the first in his small town to embrace hip hop, his taste always ran towards the more unusual, picking Organized Konfusion’s Stress: The Extinction Agenda while most others were purchasing Tupac. Nevamind started rapping in high school at the age of 15 and could be found writing rhymes everywhere. In the late-90s he learned how to make beats, and as a stay-at-home dad at the time, he went crazy and produced over 4000 instrumentals over the next 20 years. His in-home studio, the NEVRES, has been a staple recording studio for hip hop veterans, noobs, and bands. New has released two solo albums as well as a number of collaboration albums with his Deepcave fam, including The Yesmen with Royal-T, Nanabeijou with Royal-T and Lev, and Your Dad with Bajmahaj.
