Spencer Flay is a dance, reggaeton and all round high energy entertainer, with electric drops and rhythmic flicks of his ukulele, drum machine, keys and loop station. He rose to attention, quite literally, in late 2018 when the BBC became fascinated with his routine of writing songs in his crane cab, 30 metres over the Bristol Docks. He signed with ADSRecords in 2020 and has continued to finesse his style, building his live empire around the southwest. He released his sound-defining Sound Waves in 2021, cementing his name as a writer of witty and relatable lyrics. It was the start of a sustained rise in his abilities and the breadth of his work. After appearing on BBC ONE’s documentary 'We Are England' and releasing his first seasonal track, Hey Christmas in late 2022, he embarked on a series of genre-defying collaborations culminating in 5 Pack in the autumn of 2023. Forever a fount of the unexpected, at heart Spencer will continue to be the Bristol Bloke ready to conjure a rave in any location.
