Yvonne Goodwyne, also known as Vonne, is a musician, composer, and DJ currently based in Austin, Texas. Music and performance have always been innate pursuits for Vonne, as their earliest memories include performing in church musicals, ripping cassette mixtapes from Houston radio stations, and emulating every last one of their favorite vocalists, from Bob Marley to Darwin Deez to Beach House’s Victoria Legrand. While transitioning from Texas public school to a U.S. Department of Defense school in Bahrain, Vonne released their self-produced and recorded debut EP ‘Foreign Affairs’ in 2015, which still holds up today as early reflections on intimacy and experiences with recreational drug use through a robust pop landscape. Through their most recent musical efforts, Vonne is rooting themself in sounds across the jazz spectrum while still incorporating indie pop melodies. Currently, Vonne is writing and recording music for their next album.
