Biography

Roosevelt Franklin professionally known as Young Roli was born on June 7, 1997, in Sacramento, California and then moved to Palm Beach County, Florida; where he has stayed since the age of 5. At the ripe age of 22, Roli has already seen a level of pain most people don’t see for a lifetime, from being diagnosed with Steven Johnson syndrome at age of 10, cancer at 11, being in foster care even homeless; it’s safe to say that he has seen some things. Roli didn’t start to seriously pursue music until 19 in just a few shorts years, He's now ready for the music industry. His first album, 66%, speaks for a population that’s virtually invisible despite the startling number of foster care children. “Those are the people I want to touch the most. Those people, their lives; people think don’t matter”, said Roli. He wants to inspire them to become successful in life, regardless of what life presents them with. Roli is bothered by the statistics – “66% of the jail populations are kids from foster care system”, he declares. He wants to reduce that number by instilling values of knowing your worth into the minds of the youth, ultimately “flipping” their perspectives. Looking at the young man that Roli has become. Roli is viewing his life journey the same way; he wants to change the lives of the kids that got caught up in the “system”. He has dedicated his life to becoming a voice for those who are products of being in group homes.
