A dark romance between music and art. The Fleurs comprises the Swedish Swiss-born singer and composer, Emely Majrell. Based in Stockholm (SWE) the artist draws its inspiration from the Swedish melancholic winter and the dark nightclub scene in Berlin. She combines drum machines with ethereal vocals to a hybrid between downtempo techno and cinematic postrock. What started out originally as just a music project grew into an artistic alter ego with different parts of artistry coming together as The Fleurs. Photography, and video-and sound installations evolve out of every new song. ”For me, music is the glue that holds everything together while the source of all creative process is the darker part of my own psyche, manifesting in stories I need to tell through my art. It’s a beautiful thought that, once these stories and pictures are out there, they have become immortal.”, says Emely Majrell.
