Her compositions strive to create a sense of imaginary belonging, uniting faded memories and painting traces of a soul, searching for the missing link to Eastern-ness in the context of a Western upbringing. Together with Niklas Lukassen (b) and Nathan Ott (dr) the trio navigates through jazz, Maqam-based and Afro-Cuban inspirations and invites the listener to look at the world from different points of view: from the East, the West, or from somewhere in between. The trio has toured Egypt, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Austria and Iceland. For their debut single they collaborated with French-Syrian vocalist Lynn Adib.
